The inequalities shown within these articles demonstrate and unfortunate example of the prejudice, discrimination, and racism that our country has developed. As of this very minute our nation is still debating whether or not to allow refugees from Syria and neighboring countries into the US because of Isis liked threats. Normal families with children seeking asylum from these terrorist groups and safety as well as good jobs in a nation where they can be whomever they want to be. Yet we as Americans refuse to allow them to enter based purely on their skin color and religion alone. When the word terrorist is even spoken we immediately think of Muslims or Isil, we think only about the pain a few radical Islamists
have caused rather than the majority at its whole. A people whom wish to do nothing but save their families whom as a majority go to college, become doctors, lawyers, engineers, and even teachers useful member of a society.”Not all Muslims are good people, however not all Christians are good either”, “there are always going to be a few bad apples within a majority of a people, all we can do is try and stop them” quotes a Muslim woman seeking asylum. We as an American people are taught stereotypes of all people and we use these stereotypes to discriminate races based on untrue ideals. This has especially been proven true within our own country today, with riot after riot over racial bias, prejudice, and even racism. The “Black Lives Matter”campaign is the greatest example of a people seeking equal liberties and freedoms. A movement by a people whom feel like they're intentionally left powerless by the state and in some cases the government. The group goal is to make a change in the way the world views black lives in the US as well as inspire a public to change their views on race and ethnicity. “ I think it's a movement of many people doing important work and leading in different ways. We've only begun to see the power and impact of that type of model” says an activist. Throughout the world we need to make a change in the way we judge people. We need to strip the world of racism, prejudice, and discrimination and focus on the big picture within. A world without “race” is a world that will succeed.
