Jean-Luc Godard a great French movie director, otherwise storyteller, states “Reality, is too complex. Stories give it form”. A person is introduced to the art of storytelling early on in their life as just a child. They would sit in awe as they travel to through the galaxy on a rocket ship and rule over tall majestic kingdoms with an army of knights in shining armour at their command. It is this moment in life where reality is of no use and has no affect. As one comes of age, reality becomes a heavy anchor that chains one down to earth. A person can feel the heavy weight of reality while it looms above like a dark cloud, filtering every thought, every emotion. With reality breathing down a person’s neck, it raises questions about life and
a person is led to seek answers in the stories and tales of God, history and past experiences. These stories allow a person to find the comfort, inspiration and motivation they need in life to create a better story for themselves.
