Introduction to Fiction
Discuss the following questions using examples/ quotes from “Tots” and “Androids” “Can a story be true, even if it isn’t?” Fiction is the classification for any creative informational work it is almost, always a narrative. From the quote “ can a story be true, even if it isn’t?” what comes to mind is the curiosity of what- ifs? A story can be as good as reality and reading a great story can take a reader to another world where it can actually seem like it is true. It is all about literature by imagination. If a story is as good as reality then it is a great story. I feel like at the school Miles was experiencing different stuff happening to him and around him. This next quote stood out to me about when he was talking about the tower. “ This tower was one pair-square, incongruous, crenelated structures- that were distinguished, for some reason, though I could see little difference, as the new and the old.” Miles had admired them and their structures. He makes it seem as if this tower that goes from one side of the house to the other is amazing with the arches very architectural, he feels some type of way when he talks about this specific place in the house, as if he reflects on who he sees. It gave him 2 type of emotions, which was being shocked and surprised. He was surprised because of his violent perception of the mistake of what had occurred the first time with him. The man who he thought had meet his eyes and seen him was not the man that he ended up finding out who it came out to be. He talks about an unknown man in a lonely place is a permitted object of fear to a young woman privately bred. He seen figures of different people who aren’t aware of who he is.
