thought of just thinking, what if he had not done it, where they going to laugh at him for him being a weak person and not killing an animal.
Orwell is the protagonist in his story where he basically describes himself and how the people just hates him. It also seems that he's a little of an antagonist because he is basically the peoples enemy. The people don’t like him, all they want is to see him finish his job so they can jeep on with their lives.
In one of the Burmese people and I remember just seeing this police officer struggling, whether or not to kill the elephant. Which in my opinion didn’t seem so hard to pull the trigger. I know for a fact that if he wouldn’t have killed the animal he would of seemed weak by not doing so. I just wrote a brief example of how a Burmese person would have seen Orwell while in action with the elephant. This exercise as helped me to feel the hate the people had towards the animal and what Orwell was feeling while in confrontation with the elephant.
Did Orwell at any moment think about trying to talk things out with the Burmese people on letting the elephant go?
