An example of this is some news sources and independent journalists not being able to post about certain topics or ideas because they are limited on what they can post if it is deemed as offensive, as an incitement of a criminal act, obscenity, or slander. If considered so, it may be taken down or called back, even if it was not meant to be construed that way. Topics that may have once been able to be discussed are now too controversial and may offend someone. One example of an expansion of civil liberties is the freedom for people to record, stream and take photos for their own protection/desire. The reason that it has expanded in recent years is because of the availability of technology and the use of cell phone cameras and people being able to record in public spaces. Constitution is article twenty-three which states that” Everyone has the right to work, free choice of employment, just and favorable conditions of work and protection against unemployment. Everyone, without discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work. Everyone who works has the right to just and favorable remuneration, ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection. Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests” (United Nations). The reason why this would be beneficial as an amendment to the U.S. Constitution is because it would have the people's well-being in mind and give opportunities to large quantities of people. In the first part of the article, it says that people should have the choice to choose where they would like to work, and no matter where they work, there should be a clean and safe environment for them to work in. Next, it talks about how there shouldn’t be any discrimination towards people which helps certain demographics of people find work, and then it goes to talk about equal work for equal pay which is only fair to the people who are doing the work.
