People who commit a crime can obtain a bit of a person’s vengeance and go to jail (justice) at the same time in certain situations. For example a man is being punished for the death of a young girl through drunk driving. He has been tried, jailed and has been sentenced to be hanged. He has been jailed in the name of justice and is planned to die for the death of a girl. For example, in the Count of Monte Cristo, some people betrayed and framed Dantes of a conspiracy he was involved in as the suspect and seek revenge to people involved. Dantes is jailed and tortured in a prison for years and when he escaped, he kills the warden in the process for all those times he was tortured by him. Then after Dantes manages to escape from jail, he found the lost treasure of his cellmate and changed his identity to Monte Cristo. Another example is that he finally confronts Mondego, one of the people who betray him, and killed him. Dantes has finally killed the person he has been after and came up with the idea to betray him after all those years. To end this, vengeance is often used by people, depending if the situation is personal to them
So in conclusion, vengeance and justice do go hand in hand in some situations, however it may be only one option or forgiveness to solve the problem. It could be assumed that a person’s solution depends if the situation they are going through is personal or that they are willing to forgive and
