• What is the most significant thing you learned this week?
In my reading this week, I found three things that stood out as significant. I find leadership and conflict training to be interesting and enjoyable. the text gives us the encouragement for this same thing, this can be accomplished in several ways. In my experience, the most frequent reason people choose to participate in conflict and leadership development workshops and seminars is that they have been referred by others. (Runde)

I find this class to be one of the best learning times in my education at Trevecca Nazarene University. My thinking, as it relates to conflict has come a long way, I would say I have been a good personality under conflict, however, this class has given me depth, and insight I would not ordinarily had in the past. I can see how this class would being anyone to a better understanding of conflict. My thinking is more of a better understanding of the principles of conflict. I find myself looking into the idea of conflict and for once, I do not dread what might come. I would say it is a good first step in guiding an individual in navigating conflict. One must be in preparation for conflict and one class will not make us a master of conflict, however, it is a good start and will take most of us further than we would have gone out there on our own. I have already asked a couple people on my church board to begin reading the text of this class, taking these text and spreading the word we will be talking about how we handle conflict is something I believe is passing on what we have learned.
• How will I use (or have I used) this knowledge in my life?
I will use this material and to expand my conflict resolution skills to add value to others. One thing that really stands out in my reading this week was, “If you can get people to admit that first impressions can be and perhaps often are wrong, it helps them open up to alternative explanations. In effect, it makes it easier for them to use cognitive reappraisal.” (Runde & Flanagan,(2007) This ideas has begun and process with in me that I believe will be used for years to come, understanding that many of my first impressions are not the ones I should have or should settle on will be a grand concept that will change my
