In the Exodus passage, Moses was a timid man and when God first asked him to go to Israel, he denied and said he wasn’t worthy. He believed God should choose someone else in place of him. Although there was a burning bush in the movie, it was not portrayed as God, but instead a little boy. In the biblical passage of the Exodus, Moses meets God through the burning bush and speak to him through that. With that being said, in the movie, God seems unreliable many times and leaves Moses with uncertainty of what will happen. In the Exodus passage, Moses knows exactly what will happen, because God tells him what he plans on doing. Each time God brings a plague, he lets Moses know ahead of time. Moses is never uncertain about God’s doing and has faith in him.
Another important thing to note, would be the way Moses gains the israelites faith and belief in him. In the Exodus passage, Moses is given a staff which would help him perform miracles that would help him prove that he has in fact, spoken to God. His miracles which he would perform would be turning the staff into a snake, getting and healing sickness in his hand, and turning water from the nile into blood. These signs were never performed by Moses in the movie, and the Israelites already had faith in him, but Moses didn’t have faith in
