Experiments preformed over time would create results with variables.
An experiment conducted at the start of high school and tracked well into the subjects 30’s would generate the best results. A experiment over this time period would be able to track the how, why, and where the subject is by the end of the trial. Independent and dependent variables would show how the sample skewed from course changing their lives. For example, the independent variable at the start would be everyone having the opportunity for an education, making everyone equal in the study. Example of independent, Ana goes to high school and graduates. Then there is the dependent variable that depends on a change that effects the end process. Example of dependent variable, Ana goes to high school, but is bullied and drops out, now she makes minimum wage. The dependent variable is being bullied causing her not to finish. Information on the variables would better track the education and income hypothesis for the data
set. When preforming any research dealing with a collection of data, ethics have to be part of the process. It is unethical to falsify or remove data because it would harm the desired results. If my hypothesis for the experiment was “All high school students graduate and go to college,” I could not omit Ana’s results because she deterred my desired results. Also, it is important to keep personal identifiers out of the experiment. While it is necessary at the start, one the data is done being collected, numbers should replace the names of the people involved, especially when working with minors. In conclusion, when conducting research to find the relationship between education and income I would use survey and experimental methods. Both methods allow for a sample of a randomize population to better the chances everyone is heard.
