Stress and many stressors can effect the mind and body as a total unit. When one area is effected, it becomes a strategic systematic response through all body systems.
Stress usually affects the thought process and the ability to pay attention or complete daily tasks. When the stress continues, it becomes more deep rooted issue that can lead to depression, chronic fatigue, lack of sleep, creates eating disorders (usually bulemia or binge eating), and eventually can cause pain to body parts. In severe cases, it can lead to high blood pressure. Long periods of this will create heart attack like symptoms that need treated immediately.

- Lack of sleep- stress stays in the thought process not allowing the brain go into sleep mode for required amounts of time.
-Eating disorders- Bulemia (purging) eating excessive amounts of food and deliberately expelling them through emesis.
Binge eating- eating to help alleviate stress. Usdusally foods that are not health and loaded with carbohydrates, starch and sugar.
- Pain- Can becaused by the ongoing chemical imbalance being created through long term stress. The mind amd body work togehter. The body fails to recognize or recieve the adequate amount of chemicals to keep the body in homeostatsis, it sends out pain signals.
What strategies people use to cope?
There are several techniques that can be used for relieving stress. It is up to the individual to find which one works best for them.
