• Listening and communication skills are important to resolve conflict because when you do both it helps matters all round and team bonding works as well.
• Assertiveness in a conflict resolution situation really is important because you are calm and want to solve the situation by compromising which again we didn’t need when we done our project.
• Effective listening. listening skills for everyone in a group is important because if one person not listening group bonding won’t work our project members where all fine with

By being an effective leader, one can use effective leadership skills to implement. Such skills such as promoting cohesion is one criteria needed in this scenario. I can incorporate cohesion by showing respect to other team members, and allow everyone to be active listeners. By showing respect to one another in a team, the members can reach the unaccomplished goal set. There are different personalities and diversities in a group, but as long as you can work together despite the diversities, attitude, behaviors, competition, the goal can be completed effectively. I enjoyed the team collaboration this week. I have so much from the videos and the team input and discussion. Effective communication is needed in all areas of teams. I know that working in team can be challenging, but always remember to put your best foot forward, and keep on moving towards the goal. Sometimes, teams may not perform in adequate time but be persistent and ask if you can be of any assistance in helping other team members. Unless, there is a leader assigned, there is not an “I” in teamwork. Working the team this week was productive and I have communication was open and to the point. Everyone discussed and posted about the scenarios on both videos as…

Teams must work well individually as well as a members of a team. Communication on an individual level differs from communication within a group. Individually, you must actively listen and insure accurate understanding, offer to help solve problems, and focus on not being distracted by your own emotions. You cannot allow your emotions to distract you or cause you to miss the key points or misinterpret information. As an individual you must attend all group meetings, provide feedback and input to the discussions, and be respectful to others input and views.…

The rubric project, I sent out the project instructions with my views of what we were supposed to do. Together with my group, we improved our ideas into the finished product. For the photo album project, I reviewed my group member’s projects, observing some weakness and interpretations that may be needed for each project. Furthermore, I replied to the two group members who reviewed my project. I thanked them for their help and told them what I did to use their feedback to make my project better. Also, I had the opportunity to create a Prezi for the first time. My prezi can be found in the following link:…

In the P5 assignment I was given a task to produce a presentation which demonstrates team working as part of a team towards achieving specific goals. In the presentation the following points were included; the benefits of team working, theories of team working and theories of leadership. Each team member in the team was given a specific role to complete which lead to the task ultimately being completed. I was given the role to find information through research about Tuckman’s four stages of team development, Aman was allocated to a role where he had to produce slides for Belbin’s theory, Boris was given the role to produce slides about John Adair and finally Ansaar had the role to provide a few slides about the benefits of team working.…

In my opinion, the most important factor that aids a team to work effectively is to have an established goal that each member works toward. When each individual is aware of the direction of team, they can consistently contribute their ideas and insights to achieve that goal. Therefore, my primary objective in this course is to actively seek the best ways to achieve the goal at hand. Once a certain goal has been established, I need to remind myself and my team members of that same goal in an on-going basis; so that the team won’t diverge from the direction it must be headed. By continually mentioning the goal that was agreed-upon, it keeps the team moving together which is vital to success. Each member must know how far the team has developed their steps to achieving the goal; therefore it would be a real disadvantage when one member is behind. Also, the most fundamental attribute that must go with teamwork collaboration is team cohesiveness and a high level of commitment. Without working together and committing to one another, a team will most likely fail. Each member must trust one another and agree that each individual will give them the same level of dedication as one another. My goal is to give my team members all that I can offer and hopefully, learn as much as I can from them to enhance the results. In order to reach this goal, I have to actively listen to my team members and see what they have to offer. Teamwork is about giving what you have and learning what you…

    Effective Teamwork

Teamwork is characterized by having a sense of purpose to achieve a clear, specific goal that all members believe is important to attain. A team can be assigned to carry out a specific project, such as seeking ways to improve profitability in a small business. A team could also be assembled to find the right candidate for a job opening. All teams should consist of members who are capable of contributing to the achievement of the goal based on their level of knowledge or expertise. If a team is assigned the task of development of an expense budget, but one or more of the members has little or no budgeting experience, the whole team will suffer as a result. A successful team contains a spirit of cooperation. All members need to work together to achieve the specific goal. This can be difficult, especially if some members possess strong personalities or are highly opinionated. Successful teams tend to have strong leaders who can keep everybody on the same page while keeping the petty bickering to a minimum. Teams should also have a set of rules that determines its operating procedures. These rules help to keep the team on track and eliminate ambiguities. For example, a team might have a rule that all team members must agree on a decision before it can be implemented. This would require that the team deliberate, much in the way of a trial jury, until a consensus is reached.…

There needs to be a clear purpose where team members share a sense of purpose and common goals for what they are trying to achieve and work towards these goals together. That all team members can discuss the objectives until members can commit themselves to them. The team identifies its own resources and uses them, depending on its needs. The team need to be able to work together and accept or challenge any advice given to them from the team leader of the task. The team must be conscious about its own operations and is aware of and interested in its own processes. The team has taken time to discuss the group process and how the team will function to achieve any objectives. They must have a clear and mutually agreed-upon approach for expectations, rules, etc. They must constantly evaluate their progress and rectify any mistakes of problems they encounter along the way, whatever the problem may be it must be discussed and a solution found and always using the knowledge of all team in a fair and reasonable way. The team must work to a common goal, there should be clear goals set out along the process and it is the job of team leader to make sure all individuals are working together to the same level to achieve the same standard of outcome. By achieving these smaller goals throughout a process will make the overall task in hand easier to achieve.…

Your business's functions are the things it does -- production, sales, marketing, research and billing, for example. The organizational structure defines the relationship and interactions between the parts of your business, and identifies how the chain of command runs through the different levels. You can set up your business structure around your organizational functions, but even if you don't, function and structure will influence each other.…
