4 Major Muscle-Building Rules
You spend almost every day doing high-intensity workouts in the gym, and yet you still wonder why you can’t build well-defined muscles. The most common reasons why this happens are doing an improper diet, over training and wrong choice of exercises. If you want to effectively burn calories and grow muscle mass you should apply the following rules to your workout routine.
Change the Eating Habits
In order to build muscles and to burn fat, it is essential to consume food rich in proteins, carbohydrates, and healthy fats, as well as food that contains a high level of fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. You can increase the growth of the muscle mass by consuming more calories than you burn. You should try to eat five or six smaller meals instead of three large ones. Also, you should avoid any sugary drinks. Instead, you should consume plenty of water and green tea.

Instead of doing a 60-minute cardio workout, you should include a 20-minute interval cardio training of high intensity. What you should do is to warm up by walking or jogging for about 4 minutes, followed by 1 minute of high speed running. Afterwards, you should spend 2 minutes on fast walking or jogging. This exercise can be repeated up to 5 times before the lifting session. If you are a beginner, you can start by performing this exercise 2 or 3
