After Macbeth commits many murders, he is at the point where he can’t turn back. So instead, he kills more. He becomes a serial killer whose first solution to a problem, is murder. In act three, scene four, Macbeth says, “I am in blood steeped in so far that, should I wade no more, returning were as tedious as go o’er”(lines 137-139). Macbeth compares his killing to a body of water. He says he is in the middle of the body of water and to go back to the shore where he started, is the same distance to keep going to the other side.
