• Emails – this is when you send a letter formatted note via the internet.
There are many benefits to emails such as they are delivered extremely fast when compared to traditional post. Emails can be sent to one person or several and the cost is still cheap due to only having to use internet connection.
• Presentations – this would involve using Microsoft PowerPoint for example.
With PowerPoint presentations it draws attention to key elements but also allows the speaker to expand on the points connecting more with the audience. Also it allows the use of pictures or diagrams instead of words which can be more engaging.

For example a member within the council could have been there many years with a lot of experience will be able to understand more complex business language where as a new employee to the council would need things explaining in simpler terms. I am still new at work I don’t use any form of business language, this is useful because customers may become confused when presented with terms they don’t understand so I will be able to put it into simpler terms for them to understand. Customers do have expectations and we must ensure as we are providing a service to the public at the council that the customer is left happy and feels as though there issue or concern has been resolved. When speaking to customers it is important to ensure that formal language is used and that they receive the level of detail they require. Many organisations have complaints departments etc. who can deal with these queries from the public and ensure that the right templates and protocols are
