Could you imagine helping people in this world? Or even delivering cute little baby’s into this world? I love helping others and doing my best to improve their lives. Helping people is very important to me because of my background. My mom and grandmother were both nurses because they loved to help just as much as I do. Being an OBGYN is a job I hope to accomplish so that I can help people in their everyday lives.
To be an OB GYN it takes years of schooling in order to even understand the job they actually do and how hard they work. By the time an obstetrician/gynecologist graduates, he or she will have completed lots of years of schooling. I must take and pass the Medical College Admission Test (N.p., n.d. Web). Good grades and a strong score on the MCAT help ensure acceptance into medical school (Becoming an Ob/Gyn). I feel that's for myself a lot of schooling and I feel it will get tiring for myself and that I’ll eventually get lazy and not want to finish. But, I would be very interested in learning so many new things and taking different classes. Then, after graduating from four years of medical school, students have to take and pass the United States Medical Licensing Examination (Becoming an Ob/Gyn). I love hands on activities and helping people that’s why being in the medical field will give me so many opportunities to do both things that I very much love to do. I feel that me taking so many classes I could make my standards higher for colleges and earn higher degrees in the field I’m taking on. It could also keep me busy during free time with all the studying I’d have to do to keep my grades up. As an OB/GYN, you specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer and menopause. Additionally, you work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth and into postpartum (OB/GYN Physician Skills and Knowledge). I would love to make myself very successful in this career and makes lots of money and support my family. There’s more to my job then just owning the title there is a lot of hard work and dedication you have to put into it. As a doctor, your responsibilities also include performing annual examinations, collecting and documenting patient medical histories and providing counseling on diet, hygiene, sexual health and disease prevention (OB/GYN Physician Skills and Knowledge). Many new OB-GYNs finish their residency and choose to subspecialize in a field such as infertility, high-risk pregnancy or gynecological oncology.
