Lyndon Johnsons experiences influenced him as president because in the year 1937 he got a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives where he spoke out about issues that were happening in the U.S. Roosevelt noticed how intelligent and outspoken he was so, got a seat in Congress and was FDR’s right hand man. People knew him as a man who was able to get people to agree with his views. He also had very great views being a Protestant in the South which is why people wanted him to run.
