Explain Why Not Want To Have A Superpower
Who does not want to have a superpower? Having a superpower is everyone’s desire. There are many different opinions of what superpower does one want to have. Flying, inhuman strength, invisibility, and many more are just a small example of superpower that humans want. However, Bill Gates and Melinda Gates are different, because they said that they want more time and more energy as their superpower. More time and energy are the only superpower that could bring all humans in this world to live a better life. For Bill Gates, there are huge gap in the understanding of more energy and time between rich and poor countries. The meaning of more time and energy in rich country would only means more time to spend with family, more time to watch movies, and more energy to work extra hours. However, more time and energy have a whole different meaning for poor country. More energy for them means that the access to electricity more modern stuff like refrigerator, light bulb, and maybe computer. We would have to find firewood in the morning to make a coffee, fetching water to take a shower, and this proves that not having energy in half a day is already too hard. Moreover, it gets harder at night since there would be no electricity to power the light bulb, no computer, no internet, no television. Living a life without energy is like living in darkness. Based on my knowledge, CO2 that emits to the air will go up to the atmosphere and damage the O3 layer on the atmosphere. This would cause what we called the glass house effect. The glass house effect occurs when the heat from the earth cannot emits to the outer space again, and this will cause the earth’s temperature to raise and cause a global warming. Not only that CO2 can damage the earth, but also human’s health since CO2 is not healthy for human’s lung. More sickness will occur in the human

Greenhouse Gases: Carbon dioxide (CO2) is a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere that may raise average temperatures on Earth. The burning of fossil fuels could be responsible for the increased levels of carbon dioxide. If current trends continue, future concentrations of atmospheric carbon dioxide in parts per million (ppm) could reach the levels shown in the accompanying table. The CO2 concentration in the year 2000 was greater than it had been at any time in the previous 160,000 years.…

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary greenhouse gas emitted through human activities. Carbon dioxide is naturally present in the atmosphere as part of the Earth's carbon cycle (the natural circulation of carbon among the atmosphere, oceans, soil, plants, and animals). Human activities are altering the carbon cycle--both by adding more CO2 to the atmosphere and by influencing the ability of natural sinks, like forests, to remove CO2 from the atmosphere. While CO2 emissions come from a variety of natural sources, human-related emissions are responsible for the increase that has occurred in the atmosphere since the industrial revolution.…

“When people think of a hero they most likely think of Superman, Batman, or Spider-Man, but what they should think of is people that make a difference in the world” (“One of America’s Greatest” par.2). This quote is saying that most people often forget to acknowledge the people who have strived to make a difference, but what people do acknowledge is what entertains them, such as the superheroes who don’t make any difference in their lives. Bill Gates, is one of those people, a hero and a philanthropist, who contributed his life to advance the world technologically as well as by other means to today’s era. The repercussions are droughts and lack of food for society. This later leads to starvation, the decrease of organisms and economy issues. Another way global climate has been changing is shown in a diagram mapping out climate connections which states, “Greenhouse gases and the changes occurring in our climate make a connection due to one affecting the other. Since greenhouse gases trap more energy than needed, the climate is not used to this type of atmosphere, therefore causing problems such as melting snow, warming oceans, and droughts. Ultimately, the greenhouse gases add unnecessary hear and changing climates in a negative way”(Document 1). Based on this change, humans should do something in the near future about global climate change because the result of this affects weather patterns and the atmosphere as a whole. As the atmosphere deteriorates it brings other factors that are out of the ordinary such as a surplus of natural disasters, vicious storms, and dreadful temperatures. It is obvious that the world is changing in a negative way because humans are treating it in a negative way by neglecting the atmosphere and claiming the climate change is being fixed, yet adding on to the issue on the way. This worsens the situation and is melting away the blue world called Earth. The planet is gradually melting away, not to mention along with the polar ice caps, and will continue if the problem is not handled. As a final point, global change is obviously an immense complication that we as human beings should manage in the near future or it will be…

I see what you are trying to say, and the point you are trying to make. Personally, I did not have a problem with the introduction. I felt that was just fine. However, I do feel the average person may get lost in what the author was trying to convey in the article. Also, I felt that the superpowers of super heroes could relate to the talents of ordinary people; if only they would recognize them for what they are and the power they have in such talents. I do believe the author was trying to make this connection in the mind of the reader, but it really was not presented in a black and white manner that most would be able to pick up on. If a person realized what their strengths were, and put themselves in an occupational environment that complimented…
