We need to see what we can’t see for a plethora of reasons. However the most important reason is because most of the events and occurrences are either too small, large, slow or too fast for the naked eye to see. As Humans we are we are curious are we are always on the quest to learn more and gain more knowledge. In order to gain more knowledge and to improve ourselves we need to see what is beyond our vision. Another reason why we see need to see what we can’t see is to improve the way we do certain behaviors. In sports for example we need to see the movement of an athlete that is too fast for us to see to improve his or her performance to technique. If we were able to slow the movement of athle1te then we can easily spot the athlete’s blunder and tell them to alter their technique or style. Most occurrences and events are too fast for us to see. In order the slow things down for us so we see the details that we missed we use high-speed photography. The definition of high-speed photography is “Photography to record movement or events that occur too quickly to be observed by usual visual or photographic means; motion pictures may be shot at high speeds (50-500 frames per second) and projected at normal rates, so that the action of the subject is slowed to a point where it can be observed; or a series of individual still photos may be produced”.
