Which leads to the question of how will sports look like in the future? How different will it be compared to today's sports and athletes?
Rather than focusing on one particular sport, the focus will be on athletes. How has athletes dedication changed? What things available to athletes now compared to what athletes had before? To tie together athletes and sports the importance of equipment and injuries should be included as well. Like anything that talks about the good also comes with the bad. The understanding of times in which things did not work, success is reached and the world learns.

Athletes recognized that being a competitive athlete they had to be more determined. Athletes began to train more and watch what they ate. Although not all athletes eat great, some have discovered what being a vegetarian can do to their performance. In the 1900s people did not recognize the negative effects that appeared when they either ate poorly or do drugs. Drinking for instance, drinking was not seen as bad. In fact toxicated their bodies without knowing how it would affect and did not even acknowledge the fact that it was a possibility. Being a vegetarian means not eating meat or certain related animal products. Why would anyone want to give up meat? The answer is athletes have discovered that by being vegetarian their performance improves, and they feel at their best. Being a vegetarian is not the only option, Sports Nutrition had professionals explain what they think and understand about the topic of sports nutrition and stated what you should be doing when it comes to training. Professionals stated that consuming carbohydrates, “both before and during exercises”, will affect the athlete’s performance and higher the training level.
