In my case, I am considering studying along the lines of forensics. When interested in forensics you have to familiarized yourself with science predominantly. Depending on the area a person wants to focus on would determine what classes are …show more content…
I plan on learning quite a few aspects of forensics to satisfy my interest in each category. Forensics stood out to me because of the unique nature of the problems being solved. The way of taking a piece of evidence and being able to scientifically test and prove the way something happened by testing a sample has always intrigued me. The findings are more accurate than a “say-so.” DNA and fingerprints are distinct to one person. The aspect that is most interesting is examination of blood serum, toxicology, and BPA (Blood-spatter Pattern Analysis). Blood serum is blood plasma without the fibrinogen that makes it coagulate and is tested to determine the freshness of a blood sample. In toxicology the determine alcohol levels and identify any drugs in the blood. Blood-spatter Pattern Analysis interests me because by determining the way blood lands on a surface, it can be understood what kind of wound was received or even the force at which an injury was applied. The shape and amount of blood in an area can define an attack. A person’s blood can be taken many forms and situations and be examined to find motives, imperatives and can be a deal breaker in a
