The teachers should include an art area outdoors where the children have plenty of space to embrace their creativity. The children should be allowed to experience art inside and outside the classroom. The children may even get inspired by their surroundings outdoors.

Children should have a space where they could relax when they need time for themselves. Safety is an important aspect to have a quality preschool. If I were a parent I would assurances that my child is safe in that classroom. There should be a proper ratio between the students and the teachers so the classroom is balanced. A safe classroom should provide proper equipment for the children to work with. The classroom and outdoor area should not have any broken toys or furniture. The furniture and chairs should be appropriate for the children. If the child sits in the chair and his or her feet do not touch the ground the chair is not appropriate. The children should have appropriate chairs to maintain good control and balance when sitting down. Also have proper storage for chemicals that the children should not come in contact with. For example, a spray bottle filled with bleach should not be left in the table. The children may wonder what it is and might even play with it which may be potentially dangerous. Everyone that works in the school represents the school. The teacher has to be educated with classes so he or she can be ready to work with the children. Teachers have to teach with a purpose based on the developmental needs of the children. This means the teacher has to take time to carefully assess the children and then plan the curriculum. Also it is important to remember that the teacher is the role model to the children and should be professional at all times. As we discussed in class, the staff working at the school should be professional and avoid any kind of gossiping. We do not know the situation a person may be in therefore we should not judge. For instance, a restaurant will loss business if the workers are not friendly and helpful to their customers. In the case of a preschool the parent will most likely remove the child from the school if they are mistreated. The teachers should have an open door policy to discuss any concerns that the parents may have about their child. Also, provide resources for parents who need it will show that the teacher cares and understand the family. It starts good communication skills such as “Good Morning! How has your morning been?
