And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.” ― C. JoyBell C. Are Americans shifting in the view on gun control? Well, considering that our minds are always changing, it would be almost impossible not to shift our views every once in a while. We will always have people in this world who wish to take human life, and they will find a way to do so. In order to have balance, there has to be evil in order to have good, dark in order to have light. But, we can limit the amount of evil that we are exposed to, and one way is through gun control. In my opinion, Americans have never had a true agreement on what should be done and our views are somewhat circumstantial.
Main Point 1:
Now on to my first point of analysis. Very rarely do friends, family members, citizens, or any group of people really, totally agree on anything, and gun control is no different. Americans have never really had a true agreement on policies related to gun control, though we have come close. “If you look at all the serious scientists in the world, there is no big disagreement on the basics of this... it would be absolute lunacy to act as if climate change is not occurring.”- Nicholas Stern. I know your thinking, how in the world does climate relate to gun control. I myself am still trying to figure that out. But, Nicholas Stern was right about one thing. Just like scientists aren’t disputing if climate change is real, no one can say that we don’t have gun control issues. Look at the naval shipyard shooting that happened not even a week ago. CNN stated on September 13th that this week in Missouri, by the thinnest of margins -- only 1 vote in the state Senate -- the legislature failed in its effort to make that state a haven
