Isaac Asimov’s interest in science fiction began when he first saw science fiction magazines at his family’s candy store. At first Isaac’s father refused to let him read the magazines but he convinced his father that the magazines were based on serious science journals. After reading that one magazine Isaac Asimov became a huge fan of science fiction. Isaac Asimov was such a devoted fan that he started writing letters to the editors of the science fiction magazines. Soon as Isaac got older and more interested in science fiction he started to write his first story at the age of 17. Isaac Asimov sold his first story at the age of 18. Marooned off vest was Isaac’s first piece of work published. It was a comic and it was science fiction. Isaac Asimov’s first novel, Pebble in the sky was published by Double Day. This novel was also science fiction. Isaac Asimov died April 6, 1992.
