³Never give up. Never back down. Never lose faith.´T his movie was fantastic; it is a ³must-see´ for everyone. It had me hooked from the previews. Iknew this was a Christian movie, written and produced by a church group, but I had notexpected that even the previews would honor the Lord! That was so awesome; it completelycaught me off-guard; and the movie was tremendous. I highly recommend it.The movie starts with a high school football team that is losing very badly. They are finishing alosing season, and we hear the sports announcer saying that they will have to wait until nextyear for Coach Taylor to pull it up²as he covers the microphone and murmurs, ³That is if theylet him come back next year.´ Aren¶t you so glad that God never gives up on us? People may fail you. Men may turn their backon you; they may betray you. So many times in life, people act just like that group of parentsand sponsors²the backbiting, the criticism, the power struggles seem never-ending at times.God does not need man¶s help to bring results. As demonstrated in this movie, and throughoutthe Bible, prayer and faith take care of that matter²leave the results up to God. Imagineif Jeremiah had quit proclaiming the Word because of lack of results. He didn¶t, becauseregardless of the results or lack, and regardless of what man saw, Jeremiah knew that He wasexactly where God wanted Him.As we¶ve all had times where those who should have supported, helped or encouraged us haveinstead turned their backs, betrayed, criticized, or tried to take over, remember this: The Lordhas promised never to leave you and never to forsake you (Hebrews 13:5)! He loves you as noone else ever could; He loved you enough to give up everything for you, even His life! Wheneveryone else in the world seems to have turned their back on you, God loves you²and HE willALWAYS be there. Remember that. HE will never leave you; He will never forsake you; He willnever betray you. He will

After watching and reflecting on this movie I learned many lessons from Simon Birch as a person and a believer in God. I always thought I had it tough but, after watching the movie I realized that there are many people in the world like Simon Birch who have to face problems that they have to live with for the rest of their lives. This has taught me to never lose faith and look at the bright side. For example, if I am struggling academically I should never lose my faith, my determination and the drive to keep going. Even if I dislike school and think its hard I must tell myself that I am grateful…

This was overall a very outstanding movie and has a great purpose. Jamal did the right thing in my mind and the quote, “No more lessons. I have a question, though. Those two foul shots at the end of the game...did you miss them or did you miss them?” is a very good quote because, You should always do what you think is right and not buy into a bargain to get out of…

“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.’ This is verse 14 from Psalm 77 in the Bible. This verse shows that God is constantly working in people’s lives. It also shows us that He wants their faith to grow in Him. The miracles of Reuben continuing to live in spite of hardship, Jeremiah walking on air, and Jeremiah surrendering his life for Reuben are important in the novel because they help him build his relationship with God.…

The actor that played the role of Jesus Christ was very persuasive and I found the way he played his character was very funny and relatable. In the musical Godspell, Jesus Christ is a hippie strolling through the rumbling city of New York hoping to empower the human race with feelings of peace and unity. Jesus Christ was very relatable because unlike how he is perceived in the bible as greater than man he is instead downsized and plays the role of a clown. When you read the bible, readers are almost afraid of Jesus because of all the power he can forge upon whoever he wishes which can seem intimidating. This musical shines Jesus Christ on a whole new light that makes it easier to fall in love with a man who can part a red sea rather than fear him for his powers are eternal and great. Jesus Christ is also playing the role of a comedian and the actor that did a great job perceiving Jesus Christ as a funny and relatable character which is very hard to do since he is a person that everyone has heard of and perceive him in a specific way which is different to how he is perceived in the play.…

I felt that the film inspired growth in my life in two major ways. First, was the question posed by Nik Ripken, “Is Jesus worth it?” The answer is easy in a comfortable environment in political freedom, yet the film’s stories of survival and perseverance in persecution, especially Dmitri’s story, prompted me to ask the question with my life and the lives of my family at steak. The loss of the Ripkens’ son Timothy prompted me to envision the consequences, both bad and good, of a life devoted to mission and ask “Is Jesus Worth it?”. The answer today is yes. Yet it’s not a question to be asked just once, but a daily inquiry of faith and perseverance in the face of what is to come. Secondly, the images of suffering and persecution within the church has motivated me to take Ripken’s challenge to heart: not giving up in freedom what we hold onto in persecution. Living, for the moment, in the boarders of a government with religious freedom, it is my responsibility to share my faith freely with others. This is in conjunction with what the Christians in the film believe: that when we don’t share our faith, we are siding with the persecutors, not the persecuted. The Insanity of God has awakened the power of prayer in my life. I have lived my life with the tendency to view prayer as private and supplemental yet I now view its power as necessary and essential. I am determined to grow in prayer for the persecuted church and to engage with my brothers and sisters around me to continually lift up the church in prayer. I pray for the resiliency of persecuted Christians, not that it would end but that they may continue to glorify God even in the face of…

Facing the giants is a great and wonderful movie. When I first heard the title of the story, something comes into my mind. I think it is all about facing the struggle and hard problems that will encountered in our life. As I watched the movie, I found out is all about Shiloh Christian Academy football coach Grant Taylor (Alex Kendrick) always fail to win a high school football championship. Made worse by the decision of their star player to transfer into their rival school the next year. Their first three games of the new season didn't show any improvement, and his trouble with his wife and their house is starting to make him lose his faith. His football players' fathers, blame the lose of the school's football game to him, they believed that these results show that he is not competent enough to make this team win the season. Sooner he realized, that not just only admitting your defeat is the only way, but devoting your life to God and having faith to Him make things easier. With nothing to lose, coach encouraged his underdog team for the last time, that with faith, there is nothing you can't achieve including the winning of a football season even when all hope seems to be lost.…
