A child or young personâ€TMs development can be influenced by personal and external factors, for example a personal factor in a child is if a child is in poor health this may have an impact on that childâ€TMs education and development, for example a child with cystic fibrosis will not be able to do things that their friends may be able to do like run in the playground and by doing different P.E activities or sports days at school. A child with learning difficulties may need a one to one so this may also have an impact on their relationships with other children their own age.
A child that has not gone to nursery may find it hard to mix with other children as they have not had the experience of mixing and interacting with other children their own age so it could take twice as long for them to achieve their learning goals and to catch up on with the children of their own age.
If a child has lived in a poorer country this may also have a huge impact on their developmental stages as they may have lived in poverty and deprivation in the past and their parent or carer may not have the funds for their education.
