According to the United Nations, producing animals for food, is one of the worlds greatest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions. And with the worlds demand for animal produce increasing, animal agriculture consequently consumes in increased amount of water, crops, land and energy. Immense expanses of native habitat around the world have been cleared to grow crops to feed animals, majority of them for factory farms. Factory farms are creating an imbalance, consuming more plant protein in order to produce less animal protein. And with approximately 1 billion people globally suffering from famine, one third of that harvest is going towards factory farm animals, harvest which could provide for approximately 3 billion people. By reducing the consumption of factory farmed animals, resources would be saved, pollution would be reduced and world hunger would be combatted. Ultimately the choices we make in terms of our consumption have a global effect on animals, people and the
