Faith In The Odyssey
“God brings men into deep waters, not to drown them but to cleanse them.”- Aughey. It is true that God will give us different struggle in life it might be easy or it might be difficult. But this struggle will come not to down us but to test our trust and faith to HIM and cleanse us from sin and recognized Him as the greatest of all. Odyssey is the story of one of the warriors of troy which is Odysseus. This story shown us different theme which are love, patience, hope, trust and faith and among these theme, it was faith that caught my attention. As I watched the movie, my feeling was a combination of sadness and happiness, sadness because he did not recognize our God on his success against the war and happiness because at the end of the movie

    When movies are made out of books there are many differences, but also many similarities. The director has a very difficult job; he or she has to make sure that parts of the film are recognizable as being in the book as well. Though the film and the book have some different things in the plot, they both have to do with the same traditional Greek beliefs. In Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey Odysseus, the epic hero, travels to many different places and completes some very herculean tasks such as going to the Underworld, battling the suitors, and getting away from Polyphemus, the Cyclops.     Throughout the first four books of The Odyssey Homer described the way the suitors consume everything in Odysseus’ house and bully Telemachus around rendering immediately as a vulnerable character in comparison to his great father.
