Family In The House On Mango Street

Family in The House on Mango Street support each other during difficult times. In the story, Esperanza dad was feeling upset when a family member dies, but Esperanza was there to support her dad by holding him in her arms. A lot of the family in this book stands up for each other and be there for each other. In the story Esperanza doesn’t always like her family, but her relationship with the family provides her with a sense of belonging. Esperanza thinks she doesn’t look anything like her sister, but she notices that they have similar laugh. That laugh made her realize that they come from the same blood and family. Esperanza experiences with her family plays a big role in shaping her and turning her into the person that she is. Since her
family is poor, she had to work at a young age. By working at a young age, she experiences things that she doesn’t necessarily want to experience. Even though she tries to deny it, her connection to her family is a major reason she ends up feeling like she does. In the real world, my family is my support system. They support me in everything and anything that I do. When I’m down or having a hard time, they are there to cheer me up and give me the love that I need. They are always there for me and always taking care of me. They make me feel like I belong in this world and make me feel like the luckiest person. Family are a strong support system during difficult times.
