The Capulet and Montague did learn from their children's deaths. In Fact they actually realized that their fracas was pointless. Also that because of their dissension Romeo and Juliet died. They learned that they’re equally alike, and they accepted that the loathed family would always be there, so they might as well along. Further more they would have to make up because their family’s shouldn't of had to go through what happened to Romeo and Juliet. If there was never enmity between the families they wouldn't have had to hide their love. This also wouldn't have had led to Friar Lawrence conceiving a plan to help Romeo and Juliet run off together. Therefore there was something to help prevent their deaths, but they were destined to die. Romeo and Juliet fates were connected, the fact their families were driven by hate pushed them together. If fate was real nothing could have crossed the star-crossed lovers fate. For this reason I think that they were destined to die, but if they weren't many things that could have prevented their
