Friar Lawrence is somewhat responsible for the deaths because he had a plan that did not work. In act 3 scene 3 Friar Lawrence says, no body's death but body's banishment. I think he was saying that no one will die but the body will be gone. Also, in 2 scene 3 Friar Lawrence says wisely and slow they stumble that run fast. I think this quote is saying be wise go fast and don't get caught. In the end Friar Lawrence
gave them an idea that could have but did not work.
Romeo is also responsible for the deaths also because he married an enemy without the parents knowing. In act 5 scene l Romeo says I dreamt my lady found me dead. This happens further in the story example foreshadowing. Also in act 1 scene ll Romeo says o doth teach the torches to burn bright. I think he is saying he fell in love at first sight. In conclusion Romeo did not know he was getting himself into when he fell in love with a Capulet.
Juliet is also responsible for the deaths because she married an enemy without the parents knowing. In act 4 scene 2 Juliet says not staying o’er the bounds of modesty. I think this means that she does not want to marry Paris but will do what her parents want. Also, act 4 scene l Juliet says or bid me go into a new made grave. Maybe she means I will kill myself unless I don't marry Paris and stay with Romeo. In the end Juliet knew that she did not want to marry so she married who she wanted.
Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence have gotten themselves into something that can ruin their lives. The main points of my argument is getting into something that is unfixable. Romeo and Juliet were two people families that hated each other. None of this would have happened if their families were not enemies.
