Fast Food: The Money Eater
Topic: Fast Food
Specific Purpose: My purpose is to get teens to stop eating too much fast food because it can be harmful to your health and to your budget.
Thesis Statement: Fast food is both harmful to your health and to your budget. I. Introduction A. How many of you like Mcdonalds French Fries? Did you know that a small order is 210 calories by itself? Value fries are 320 calories. Medium fries are 450 calories. Large fries are 540 calories. Not to mention that fast food is harmful to your pockets too. Most of our money goes to Fast Food industries. B. It is proven by many valuable resources that eating too much fast food have horrible affects to your health. C. You should definitely care about how much money you spend on such fattening foods because you are just wasting your money and your life.

Over the last 35 year sales in the US fast food industry have grown by almost 1000% a. 1975 sales were $16.1 billion b. 2009 sales were $160 billion B. Fast food industry serves more than 50 million Americans everyday and generate $65 billion annually C. You could be using this money for more important things like helping the poor!
