Fast Food Stereotypes
Kenneth the janitor said just to ask of why he likes being a janitor and rather being actually working like the register and stuff. “You also have to expect customers to want to treat you like crap. There is a stereotype about fast food workers that they're all either pimply teenagers or stupid high school drop-outs who are empty inside and apparently have no feelings. If you look around at questions and answers in this category, you will get a glimpse of how some people feel about fast food workers. Because of these stereotypes, you will get treated like crap. Fast food companies require their workers to be friendly to customers no matter how the customer is treating them and go by the saying "The customer is always right." Customers know this and some abuse this "power" of theirs, giving themselves an opportunity to put down a defenseless individual and feeling triumphant and strong for pestering the "weak." So the truth is, the customer is not always right, but they're not always wrong either. I personally think that fast food workers should stick up for themselves when they're getting ridiculed for no good reason. Every six months to a year depends on store, you will be evaluated on your job performance and possibly given a raise, depending on your results. Well, that's what restaurants are supposed to do anyways. The one I work at gave crappy cashiers raises while I who did excellent working any position I was given and I'm not being conceited about it, but managers, fellow employees, and even customer took notice of my hard work remained at minimum wage. The only raises I received were minimum wage increases. Therefore, I feel like I was not treated fairly at all.     1. Performance, Reliability and responsiveness, Serviceability, and Aesthetics are all significant dimensions of quality in fast food restaurants. First of all, the performance and serviceability of a fast food restaurant is very important because like the name states “fast food” is exactly that… fast! So in order for it to be considered a fast food establishment it if very important to keep up the flow of traffic in and out of the drive thru and the dining room in a timely and efficient manner without compromising the quality of the food. The second thing is to provide reliability and responsive services for a fast food restaurant such as customer service. If customer service is poor and the food isn’t prepared properly or your orders keep getting messed up then by their bad experience word of mouth will spread and it could drive people away from the establishment and they will begin searching for other places to eat. The last form of quality I believe a fast food restaurant should have is Aesthetics or the way the restaurant looks and smells. For example, we went to Golden Corral a long time ago and it literally smelled like feces. It made eating there hard to do because it stunk so badly. Come to find out they had a sewer leak and had to get it repaired but my family and I stopped going there for quite a long time until it was fixed. It is very important that the facility is clean without debris and trash around it and that even the inside facility is kept up with clean bathrooms, tables wiped and floors mopped. In order to exceed my expectations I would expect to run thru the drive thru and hear a happy or courteous person over the speaker that’s not rushing me to make a decision, acknowledgment when I pay and prompt service when I reach the food window.
