Fear Is Fuel

Exhausted and petrified, they run faster and faster away from certain doom, knowing they will eventually have to give up. “Come on, Patrick! Run faster!” screams David.
“I am trying, David! I am trying my best!” Patrick screeches, as he gasps for as much oxygen as he can get.
They are wet with sweat all over from running for their lives as their arms pump like a factory machine. “Come on, David! I see an opening to the vents!” Patrick exclaims.
“Hurry up, Patrick!” David yells.
David begins to climb the ladder as fast as his legs can go, but all of a sudden, his foot gets caught in one of the steps. He begins to fall back. “Quickly, pull me up!”
Patrick grabs David with all of the strength in his body. They then get up to the

“Patrick, I hear It coming, we have to get out of here now!” David says, before they hear It getting closer and closer.
They immediately get up and start moving swiftly on their knees instead of crawling.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
“Hey, I see an opening to outside the school!” David says, while they are being manoeuvred closer to. They start to charge at It with all of their mights combined. Their rush is like a hammer heading straight for a nail.
Crash! goes the vent, and David and Patrick fly out onto the hard concrete.
Injured, David and Patrick lie on the ground, writhing in pain and fear. Waiting for them is the beast. It is wearing a blue buttoned-up striped shirt and Its arms are crossed angrily. Its shiny black shoes are tapping the ground with great disappointment. Its receding hairline exposes a blinding spot that is unbearable to view, and Its beard is as prickly and painful as a cactus. David and Patrick are struck with surprising expressions.
“Principal Smith, we thought we escaped from you in the vents,” says Patrick.
“You two do not know how much trouble you are in! Now, get back in detention right now or I will suspend you both!” screams Principal
