So the next day after my brother had brought home his Ripstik I told him that I wanted to learn how to ride it. So that afternoon he got home from work we headed outside. He had talked me into taking one more shot at trying to learn how to ride that pesky Ripstik. So that next morning I anxiously waited for more bother to come home from work. When he arrived home the first thing we did was grab the Ripstik and headed for the street. After about a half an hour of struggling I had finally learned how to ride on my own. I had overcome my fear of failing. I have overcome my fear of trying something new.
That specific experience always reminds me that even if I fail at first I can always overcome my fear and succeed. It was definitely a eye-opening event in my life. It’s a situation that I look back on whenever I feel the fear of failing. This experience always reminds me that no matter how afraid I am, I can do what I set my mind to.
