Traditionally wine was seen as a “pretentious” product in U.S, but by the late 1990’s to early 2000’s, wine started to become a popular social drink for the masses. In addition, the market became more adventurous, demanding unusual “undervalued” wines instead of the traditional wines such as Chardonnay. The adventurousness was driven by “Generation X” and created a significant opportunity for wineries to meet this new unconventional demand. As the industry is still currently in its growth stage, the industry attractiveness is high. Wine is a relatively high margin product, and there is increasing demand domestically and internationally. Because of…

So far NLW's most innovative product involves soil-aged merlots and chardonnay grapes grown in areas prone to wild fires which was labeled "Deep Burn". The purpose of these wines were to exploit these wild fires to give the wines "smoky" characteristics. Given the popularity of this flavor in North American foods & beverages, this wine would be expected to pair well with many Canadian palates, particularly red meat dishes. Ideally this product would be a key seller to help develop a name for NLW and give it more exposure. NLW's latest addition is the ice-like wine "Cold Burn", something similar to the Jacob's Creek line "Cool Harvest". This is believed to have some potential with Canada having such a cold annual climate, however for the same reasons there is expected to be a high degree of competition emanating from NA vineyards.…

    1. Since retail sale of liquor is a monopoly in Canada, it could be a good idea to form strategic alliance with liquor (wine) retailers and sell throughout Canada as these high-end products go well together. This would be achieved by creating a manufacturing facility in northern Ontario to help distribute products. This would create jobs in northern Ontario, thus improving corporate image. As the industry is moving more toward attracting a larger national and/or global market, this solution would allow Rogers’ to get their product to more locations across Canada while not having to spend extreme amounts of capital.…

The US has a rapidly growing wine market and is expected a 16% growth up until 2016. Moreover, 13% of all worldwide consumed wine is consumed by Americans, this is because 45% of all American adults drink wine. Evidence indicates that the Eastern part of America are more interested in imported wine rather than domestic wines and this gave perspective to start exports to the state of New York to begin with. As we are expanding to the U.S. we will have to go through a 3-tier system.…

36.74 yrs) arrested for driving while intoxicated (DWI). Five subtypes were defined through cluster analysis of driving-attitudinal, personality, and hostility measures. Two subtypes were found to have particularly high levels of risk-enhancing traits. The first was characterized by the highest levels of depression and resentment as well as the lowest levels of assertiveness, emotional adjustment, and perceived control. The second was characterized by the highest levels of driving-related aggression, competitive speed, sensation seeking, assaultiveness, irritability, and indirect and verbal hostility. Subsequent analyses indicated that these 2 subtypes were also of lower social position, heavier drinkers, and had higher risks of accident involvement in comparison to the remaining clusters. Results are discussed with respect to the need for differential assessment and treatment approaches when dealing with a DWI population. The global wine industry is estimated to be in size of $130 billion to $180 billion in retail sales which is attributed in three types of wine: Table wine (alcohol level 14%) and sparkling where Table wine accounted for the major share of the market. The table wine market is further divided into five principal segments: jug or commodity, popular premium ($3-7 per bottle), super premium ($7 -14 per bottle), ultra and luxury. The consumptions of premium wine kept growing in US and other non-European wine-producing nations, i.e. UK. However, most of the continental European countries continue to keep high demand on inexpensive table wine. Peers, I want to talk to you today about a very serious topic that has interested me for a long time, and it could be the most important thing you learn about driving, but may have only been briefly addressed in driver’s education. We have all seen the ads. The driver’s takes his or her eyes off the road, and three seconds, maybe four, the driver’s life is changed forever by a horrible accident. These are hard images to grasp, and the scary thing is that it could happen to absolutely anybody. You need to understand that driving is a substantial responsibility, and if you choose to text while driving, you are putting not only yourself, but other drivers and pedestrians at risk. Our government has been applying patches and palliative to this issue, but it is time for a final decision. As an active member of this liable society, I strongly believe this is a social problem; therefore it is the national government itself that, through its representative institutions, should pass a law at the federal level that states that all cars that traverse the U.S.A have a non-removable microchip, which would neutralize the driver’s phone’s ability to text.…

We live in a society where we pride individuality and staying true to who we are, but contradictingly enough we have large numbers of minorities being discriminated for being who they are. Racism being a strongly relevant issue, even in our day and time, doesn’t get dealt with as seriously as it should. Charles R. Lawrence III takes a firm stand addressing this issue arguing that racist speech should be regulated in universities rather than be protected by the first amendment. He claims that universities need to regulate racist speech in order for their students to really receive the equal educational opportunity they deserve. Getting rid of racist speech would be the only way to give all students the equal opportunity to learn and participate in their university. Lawrence makes strong claims in his argument; however, a lot of his argument is supported through his writing techniques. Charles Lawrence in his argumentative essay “On Racist Speech,” implements emotion-provoking diction, subtle figurative language and a thoughtful use of detail in order to effectively dispute the need for the regulation of racist speech.…

Rosh Hashanah is new years for the Jewish community, it is the time that people think about their mistakes they did in the past and try not do it again in the future.
