Why Spots?
Once there was three baby cheetahs name Alfred, Sinzu, and Sprinkles. One day Mother Cheetah and her three cubs were hunting zebras. ”Stay low my little ones, they can’t see you coming.” said Mother Cheetah. After 10 minutes of stalking Mother cheetah finally caught a zebra. As Mother Cheetah and her cubs were eating their zebra dinner curious little Sinzu asks “Momma how come zebras gots stripes on their coat but we gots nothing?” “Ya!” screams the cubs in unison. “Because that’s how God wanted our coats, and we never question Gods will.” Replied Mother “Ok, night Momma.” stated the cubs. Through the night Sinzu thought, and thought on how great it would be to have cool spots on its coat like zebra or leopard. “Hey Alfred, Sprinkles wake up.” whispered Sinzu. “What do you want now?” said Sprinkles annoyed. “I got an idea, let’s go to old man Baboon’s Paint warehouse and paint our coats!” remarked Sinzu. “I’m in!” said Alfred. So that night the three cheetah cubs sneaked out of their den and went to Old Man Baboon’s Paint Warehouse. “Finally! It took forever to get here.” complained Sprinkles. “Shut up Sprinkles, you’re the slowest cheetah in the safari!” yelled Sinzu. As they walked into the warehouse naive Alfred found a stack of play guns. “Look what I found.” said Alfred. “Hold on, I have an idea.” explained Sprinkles. As Sprinkles brothers stood there confused she was loading three paint guns with black paint and shot them.” “ Ahhh!” cried both Alfred and Sinzu. “What was that for?” Just look at your coats.” stated Sprinkles. “We got our spots!” rejoiced the two cheetah brothers. “Now can you guys be gentle cheetahs and give me a paw.” purred Sprinkles. At sunrise the new spotted cheetah cubes came back home. ”My babies said Mother cheetah “What happened to your coats? “We got spots!” they all remarked. We’re going to give the whole safari cheetahs spots just like us.” said the three cubs. Before their mom could finish the three cheetah cubs went

Some common themes that Chrysanthemum deals with are overcoming differences, bullying in school, and self-esteem issues. This picture book is easy for children to relate to because they have all either felt these different feelings. The emotional themes I want to discuss about this book are excited and loneliness. All of the sudden she stopped walking, for she felt something wet rolling down her leg. Isabelle slowly turned around to face whoever had the nerve to do this to her. Just as Isabelle had suspected, an innocent puppy had come over and licked her leg. Isabelle looked down at it, stared, and then screamed! “Whos is this?” Isabelle was stewing! Her hands were shaking all the way down to the tips of her black, matte, flawless fingernails. She bent down picked up the puppy, and yelled once more. “Whoever this beast belongs to please claim it now, or youĺl never see it again!” By now, Isabelle knew that she had everyone's attention, yet still, nobody said a word. For the last time, Isabelle shouted to the crowd as they stared at her in horror. “Fine then, say goodbye to the mangy mutt!” Everybody thought that Isabelle was going to kill the puppy, but to their surprise, she simply walked away with it. Nobody knew what she planned to do with it, but nobody had the nerve say anything. As many reptiles the leopard gecko's can last many days without eating and their tail is a great way for them to store fats and food for them to stay moving. Their tails also help them to protect themselves from predators as they divide their tail in sections and if a predator grabs the gecko by its tail they can easily let go of that section of their tail and escape. Soon after their escape their tail will disintegrate. Leopard gecko's also camouflauge to their environment as they have yellowish skin with dots which help them camouflauge themselves in their desert environment. This adaptation…

In “What is an Inkblot? Some Say, Not Much” by Erica Goode, the author introduces the Rorschach test determining whether or not the Rorschach test is necessary. Some people argue about how the Rorschach is useful in ways to find out the problem or to find out what is wrong with the patient. Getting to the point, the story, “ Flowers of Algernon” by Daniel Keys, the author talks about a mentally disabled grown man named Charlie Gordon taking the Rorschach test to determine whether or not he is suitable for the procedure to improve his intelligence. Honestly, the Rorschach test is not appropriate to find out if Charlie is suitable for the procedure because, it is useless, it virtually gives no evidence to diagnose patients, and it is heavily…

THE BOY HITCHHIKING on the back-country Kansas road was nineteen years old. He had been dropped there by a farmer in a Model T Ford who had turned off to the north. Then he waited for three hours. It was July and there were no clouds. The wheat fields were flat and went straight to the horizon. The boy had two plums and he ate them. A blue Plymouth coupe went by with a man and a woman. They were laughing. The woman had blonde hair and it was all loose and blew from the window. They didn't even see the boy. The strands of straw-colored hair seemed to be waving to him. Half an hour later a farmer stopped in a Ford pickup covered with a layer of dust. The boy clambered into the front seat. The farmer took off again without glancing at him. A forty-five revolver lay next farmer's buttocks on the seat. Seeing it , the boy felt something electric go off inside of him. In this physical distress, the kids wanted capuchis! The first couple of capuchis were fine, but as the number of capuchis literally piled on, I began to shut down both physically and emotionally. My back was aching, my shirt clung to me, and I felt dreadfully filthy. I grew frustrated, which caused me to distance myself from the children. However, I couldn’t help notice the joyful smiles that came to their once solemn and lifeless faces. So, mustering as much strength as I could, I continued to play with the children, giving them the capuchis that brought them so much delight.…
