Filler Assembly Procedure Essay
1.0 PURPOSE: To establish a procedure for check in and out for washing and the piston filler assembly.

2.0 SCOPE: This procedure applies to Maintenance, Sanitation and Production Departments.

3.0 RELATED PROCEDURES: ALL-SSOP-002-00, GMPS, and GDP’s.

4.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
4.1 The filler area representative, Sanitor, Line Mechanic, Line Lead, and Material Handler must follow this procedure.
4.2 Production Manager and Production Supervisor are responsible for training and auditing the team for compliance to this procedure.

5.0 PPE: This procedure requires that chemical resistant blue aprons, protective eyeglasses, protective gloves and hair net be worn during the entire span of the procedure.

The Sanitor at the three compartment wash station fill out the Post Wash Check out list (printed as a label) by completing the Post-Wash Inspection Label (do not remove backing since this will be adhered to the Bill Of Materials sheet at the line.
b. The Fill-O-Matic cylinder and nozzle must be taken to the filler control area in the same tray
6.1.5.b.1 There, a trained filler control area representative shall assemble the Fill-O-Matic cylinder pump and nozzle by checking off the components in the item list as they are being assemble following the VSP on page 2 of this SOP. 6.1.6 After the Check Out Prepared by and date is complete fill area representative must:
6.1.7 Reassemble the cylinders for stock or immediate use.
6.1.8 The person material handler or line mechanic receiving the tray with the assembly must sign off on the Checked Out by, date and hour.
6.2 Please note that if there are parts that need identification the parts shall be placed in a tray and taken to the area mechanic for equipment identification engraving. This identification is used to tell what machine the Fill-O-Matic goes on.
