Introduction
A. Background of the Study
Our country throughout those centuries, we encountered problems in the economy which makes the living uncomfortable and unstable. In urban areas, every year population increases same with vehicle owners that results to traffic problems, it became worse that it considered as major conflicts in the areas because it affects the economic stability and leads to lower improvement. It is not impossible that in the near future traffic may increase tremendously because of how population and vehicle owners are growing.
In this research that we conducted, we provided information about the situation and give them ideally the purpose that may help them. Provided that all of those information are gathered in books, newspapers and online resource. Gridlock written by Gridlock O’toole, Advance Traffic Control Systems by Sutandi A. Caroline, Local Traffic by Julia Roche, Traffic by Tom Vanderbilt and Struck in Traffic by Anthony Downs are books that we used for the statistics about our topic that provides efficient and trusted informations.
In the Manila City, Philippines it has a mass number of residents that used to travel via motorcycle, busses, jeepneys, cars and other transportation vehicle, it takes time to get in the area not because it is far but because of the traffic in the specific areas. The research aims to evaluate of how much does traffic affect the citizens and to give information about the current stage that is happening in the area.
