Abstract
Since the early 1980s, the network company has become more widespread as it is considered the most appropriate organisational structure in a global economy. It is commonly agreed that this type of organisation is an Anglo-Saxon model. The aim of this article is to give some insights into this current opinion, through two complementary analyses: the first one investigates the link between the innovative boost in Anglo-Saxon countries and the creation of the network company model; the second one considers the role of traditional Chinese capitalism in the exceptional economic success of Hong Kong under British sovereignty.

Capitalism is the most productive economic system that ever exists. Its emergence and development have brought an amazingly rapid increase in productivity. However, the fact that cyclical capitalist economic crisis arises proves that capitalism does not make sense because it has contradictions in it. In this article, I am going to provide explanations about what Engels means by historical materialism, the fundamental contradiction in capitalism and two other contradictions that arise from this contradiction. And I will conclude by explaining Engels’ s anticipation of the eventual outcome of the historical development of capitalism. My main argument is that the fundamental contradiction in capitalism is the contradiction between social production and individual appropriation which leads to the contradiction between the systematic organization of production inside factories and the disorganization of production in society as a whole and the contradiction between the mode of production and the mode of exchange, and the contradiction between market and production (Frederick 295; Frederick 299; Frederick 302).…

Martin Luther King Jr. is a name that everyone in America now a days should recognize who he was and some of the things he did. The mid 1900’s were not the brightness for both blacks or whites in the country as segregation was still around but, 1950’s to 1960’s those who were segregated were starting to open their eyes and release their thoughts. Martin Luther King Jr. was considered the leader of these efforts and this did not go down unpunished. He was arrested numerous times however he was showing no fear during these arrests. He would write letters meant for whoever would read it such as the one from Birmingham Alabama Jail and it had purpose to it. The purpose which was the…

The fall and rise of Capitalism only tells part of the story of Capitalism. If Frieden were to title his book a few years from now, it would probably read “The Fall, Rise, and Fall of Global Capitalism” or “The Cycles of Capitalism” for I feel Capitalism has, in fact, occurred in cycles in we are in one of the final cycles. From the onset of Capitalism until today, Capitalism has produced some vast contrasts between many factors in the economy. Some of these contrasts are the rise of Monopolistic firms and the death of small firms along side and an ever-increasing income inequality between the rich and poor. The effects of Capitalism on today’s modern economy have come to a head. Our approach and attitude in attaining wealth in this Capitalist economy is almost reckless. The magnitude at which we are careless about the effects of Capitalism on our society is alarming and its death will bring about what I would call Efficient Conservationalism.…

Capitalism is now quite commonly used to describe the social system in which we live. It is also often assumed that it has exited, if not forever then for most of the human history. In fact capitalism is relatively new social system. We defined it as an economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profit gained in a free market. It is the system which how exists in all countries of the world.…

It’s not difficult to establish a new business organization when there is new business opportunity in a fast growing market especially in a developing country like China. In the beginning stage of some market segment, demand is strong and competition is not keen so resources are easy to obtain. The level of uncertainty is low with simple, stable and rich environment. Organizations are born to take advantage of market opportunities to utilize resources to create value. Tushman and O'Reilly (1996) investigated the life cycles of organizations and found that across industries, there is often a pattern in which success precedes failure.…
