Firs First Of All Analysis

In life, many people try to control their future, or things and people around them. They think they are such big shots that they have the power to do anything they want and a lot of those ideas and dreams are very selfish. However, some people think they can change bad situations going on around them. For example, some people go arnd giving food to the homeless, and giving money to them to buy food and giving them shelter. These acts of kindness ar anything but selfish. Recently I read three poems about making something happen for selfish reasons. Wayne Dyer once stated, “I cannot always control what goes on outside. But I can always control what goes on inside.”These three poems are called, Mourning, Mistress, and Virgins. I believe these poems have three different messages.
In this poem the boy was telling that to the girl just so he would get her to hook up with him. He was saying a very important point but for selfish reasons. Adrian Grenier once stated, “It's enough to indulge and to be selfish but true happiness is really when you start giving back.” I believe that the message from this story is that you should only give yourself to someone when they truly care for you and they are not selfish towards you.

Second of all, the second message is, you should get married wle you're still young. The man in this story that was talking to the virgins was also saying this out of selfish desires. He wanted to hook up with them and was telling them that since they are not married yet they should use their youth for good while they are young. However, he was just trying to get them to hook up with them. Jose Marti once stated, “A selfish man is a thief.” The man in this poem is a thief because he is trying to steal these women's virtues and
