First Day Of 1852 Research Paper
I’m Jimmy in the year of 1852 I signed up to go on a raft and help look for undiscovered land. As I was getting on the raft I met this man named Joe we became friends. We looked for years but still didn’t find any new land. At that point no one believes that we will find land.
One day this great big storm came upon us it left many men dead and injured including Joe. It also made are raft begin to sink slowly. We were trying so hard to get it fixed but nothing worked. I tried to get other boats to help us but no one would. I started to go crazy at one point I almost killed myself but everyone stopped me before I could. We all died the next day by the raft sinking the night before.

When one reviews American History from 1785-1850, it can be concluded that, “Americans never learned to add without also dividing”. This is referring to America’s inability to have more land without also having the land divided into sections, whether it be north and south or east and west. For example when the Louisiana Purchase was made, yes it added more land to the U.S, but it also made it so there was another territory that was different than the rest of America. The Missouri Compromise can be an example as well, when they applied to become a state, it was being considered however James Tallmadge Jr. introduced an amendment that created a rift being those who were pro slavery and against it. When you look at American history between 1785-1850, it can be said that America can never add without dividing; this statement is correct in saying that and it can be backed up with the effects of the Louisiana Purchase and the Missouri Compromise, which included divisions of the ideas and people, as examples.…

There are two divergent theories of early civilizations populations in the Pre Colombian era. The first is that the area was covered with human life and, that villages and empires were believed to have blanketed the landscape. Furthermore these people are believed to have developed advanced societies structured with government and religion. These high counter theorists also believe that disease was responsible for the great emptiness of human density after Columbus arrived. The second theory is the hypothesis that there were very few people that resided in Pre Colombia thus diminishing the idea of mass death from disease and the great social achievements’ made by the Pre Colombian natives. In 1491, Charles Mann discusses the finer points of both sides, showing which side he agrees with as well as allowing the reader to develop their own ideas. This paper will explain both theories in detail, explain Mann’s personal leaning, and will end with my own thoughts about whether or not Pre Colombia was a populated region.…

A document so important as Egerton Ryerson’s 1846 Report on a System of Public Instruction for Upper Canada which culminated in the 1850 Common School Act is needed for analysis with the intention of uncovering the most important goal of Ryerson in the 1846 document. Moreover, how he hoped to achieve such a goal in Canada. Having already deemed that moral and religious education as the most important goal of reform in education in Canada, this intent analysis is to justify my action. To do so, we will look at a short but significant history of Egerton Ryerson using the Dictionary of Canadian Biography, with the intention of revealing Ryerson's intimately held personal religious faith which manifested itself in the 1846 Report. Following,…

My family aboard the boat began to worry for one another safety. We were now in a life-threatening storm on the midst of a furious river. I observed the innocence of a child in my niece as the depressing look of fear surrounded her shivering, cold, wet body. Yet, she remained hopeful and prayed to God for eternal life in Heaven. We cried out desperate prayers while the raging storm pounded our pontoon boat like a boxing match. My grandfather maintained the courage and strength and proceeded to steer the boat in the horrific scene.…

I was born in 1457, Jerez de los Caballeros, Mexico. I am a Spanish explorer. As a young boy I had two dreams: to become a famous explorer and to be an Olympic fencing champion. My Olympic dream never materialized. After I became big I went on an expedition to South America in 1501. One year later I myself found one island of Hispaniola. Several years later, in 1510, I enjoyed the change in fortune when I became acting governor of Darien. From there I led an expedition to Panama Some Indians told me that the land was located across the mountains near the great sea. When I approached Panama I spotted the great sea that I longed to see: The Pacific Ocean! Sadly I lived only a few more years on January 1519, I was sentenced to death. Long time back all explorers had no technology so they don’t know where they are going but I didn’t let my exploration be a failure so I took a compass to see the directions and an astrolabe to look at the position of the stars and know where I am going.…
