What to Expect at Your First Orthodontic Appointment?

What to expect with braces at SmileMaker Orthodontics? We always enjoy meeting new patients! Your first appointment will consist of a thorough examination and a discussion of potential treatment options.

We serve the Madison, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, and Nashville, TN area. We understand that each patient has different goals and objectives regarding their orthodontic care. We will take the time to make sure all of your questions are answered and start you on your way to a beautiful, more confident smile! You can take a look at some of the common problems here.

This important 60-minute visit is free of charge and will give us insight into your orthodontic needs. During this visit, your diagnostic records may be secured. The records include digital X-rays, digital photographs, and models.

What to expect from orthodontic treatment?
Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
How long will orthodontic treatment take?
How much will treatment cost?
What are my payment options?
Additionally, Dr. Burton will provide to both you and your family dentist a written summary of our findings and recommendations. The digital photo diagnosis, treatment recommendations, and menu of payment options are provided in a take home folder so you may have information in hand.

If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card with you or provide us this information over the phone. By providing this information before the first visit, we will be able to give you an estimate of the cost of your treatment. Appliances may be placed at that time.
