Fitness Research Paper
Fitness Staying in shape is something uncommon these days. America is the second most obese country in the world. This has become a problem and has even killed many lives. If you think about it, being fit would have a lot more benefits than not being fit. It not only will make your body better, but it will also boost your brainpower. After doing some research on fitness, I found some interesting things to know. The biggest benefit of exercise is for the heart and blood vessels. The more active people are, the less likely they are to get heart disease. It requires less pumping from the heart which supplies oxygen to the muscles. Having a well exercised body lets the heart pump less while resting. This makes for less wear and tear on your …show more content…
Dynamic exercise takes place when you do activities such as swim, jog, or take an aerobic dance class. This is because you are working many muscle groups with different movements; all strengthening your heart and lungs. Static exercise takes place when you just stay in one spot and work just one group of muscles in one position. Weight lifting is a good example because it helps you gain muscle strength and size but doesn’t do much for the heart and lungs. If you want the best results, then you should get involved in both dynamic and static exercises. The static could help you to gain the muscle for appearance while dynamic will help out with a good looking cardiovascular …show more content…
You would need to ask yourself a few simple and helpful questions: How physically fit are you? What can you handle while also pushing yourself? Do you like exercising alone or with someone? How much money are you willing to spend on equipment or healthy foods? You should also make all of this part of your daily routine and set realistic goals for yourself. Wear loose clothing and pay attention to when your body starts to hurt; this will help you feel more comfortable with what you are doing. Increasing your activity each day will help you to grow stronger. “The key is to build up slowly.”(Steve). If you follow along with these steps, you will not only feel better about yourself but also be healthier. Eating healthy and getting into shape is a lot better than eating junk food and being lazy. You should go outside and be active; stay healthy!

Choosing the right exercise program is the easiest part. If you like the outdoors then walking may be the right choice. “A brisk Walk is nearly the perfect exercise” (“Health Prescription” 2001). Dr. Mason explains in Harvard’s Women’s magazine, stretching before any exercise is important (“Health Prescription” 2001). She says, walking can be done in many different ways and the most effective way is a long thirty-minute walk (“health Prescription). If walking is not intense enough then cardio is a good choice. “When it comes to fitness fads that have swept across America over the past 50 years, cardio is the king” (Newsome 2012). A good form of cardio is running. “ Do you love the feel of running in the great outdoors yet worry about the bad press that running sometimes gets. There are precautions you can take” (Carerra 2012). “Running allows you to be connected with your thoughts and the increased heart rate and endorphin response of recruiting your entire body into the movement is uplifting, invigorating, addictive”( Carerra 2012).…

This is attributed to the fact that daily exercise improves the cells responsible for fighting bacteria, and germs, which improves your immunity. Also when you exercise, bacteria is flushed out of the lungs and other organs, and also purged from the body through sweat before it has a chance to manifest and make you sick. This dramatically reduces your dependence on medical treatment, because you become more immune to common cold or flu. This overall will cut down your doctor visits every year, which saves the insurance company money.…
