Five Greatest Strengths
According to StrengthsFinder Survey, my five greatest strengths are harmony, adaptability, input, positivity and responsibility. I apply harmony in all areas of my life, work and personal. I do not like conflict and try to avoid it as much as possible, such as, not choosing sides during an argument between individuals. I, also, withheld information to avoid any conflict with a loved one or a friend. Based on the strength, adaptability, I am flexible at my job, because I can take on new tasks when they arise and get them completed on time. I live in the moment, I hardly make plans as they can change in a split second. When I read my next strength, input, I initially thought it meant giving my opinion or knowledge of a subject. But, instead it

III. Strengths and weaknesses – One of my strengths is in self-knowledge. It states that when I say I am going to do something or care for someone, I will follow through with it, which is entirely true. Even within my gaming community, when it involves people playing fictitious characters on a computer screen, when I tell someone I am going to do something for them, I follow through with it to the best of my ability. Also when it comes to someone asking me a question in game about something, I will research everything I can find until I have the correct answer to give them. My weaknesses are with becoming too judgmental and legalistic, meaning I can become overly rigid with my expectations and obsess over minute details. I do have a tendency to get upset if someone does not do what they say they are going to do and tend to label them not so much as unethical, but as lazy.…

After completing the StregthsQuest survey, I learned that my five greatest strengths are Harmony, Competition, Achiever, Includer, and Communication. Some of these strengths I had previously recognized as a strength, but a few were a surprise to me. Growing up, I was always a competitive person. I enjoyed the thrill of winning, whether it be in a team effort or individual effort. Also, I have always wanted to achieve great things in both my personal and professional life. I believe that I have always been great at communicating with others and love to include others in everything that I do to achieve a goal. The biggest strength of mine that surprised me most was Harmony. However, after reading about each strength, I know how I have utilized…

My top five strengths for the strength finder test were deliberate, adaptability, maximize arranger, and consistency. For once I can say I’m actually satisfied with a computerized test about myself. One thing I can say about my results from this strength finder it’s a lot more accurate when it comes to the qualities I posses. My results do not match up close to previous held beliefs about myself. I am typically seen as the kind of person to play the leadership role in just about anything. The point of view from others of me being a leader is completely off, I feel the complete opposite. I am more of an observer, and I learn from not only the mistakes of others, but mine as well. The vocal portion of leadership is what I am not too fond. I could lead with actions, but vocally I’m not as sharp. Not only that, but I generally go off simply instincts, and not what is planned. Maximizing my strengths can happen in various ways. Arranger is a strength that can be maximized by more preparation and better using more time for organization. I believe there’s no such thing as being over prepared. Adaptability is a strength I could improvise on by being aware with a lot more situations so when the time comes I will be able to adapt in the best way possible. All of the strengths of mine can be maximized by me realizing what makes that strength of mine and not focusing on my weaknesses. The more I focus on my weaknesses the more ill back track. An individual cannot build performance on weaknesses, but one can on strength. Majority of the fields in business best suit my strengths. In a business environment consistency is huge. The more consistent person gains the most respect. The more consistent you are, the more reliable you’ll be seen as. If you’re seen as more reliable by your co workers they’ll enjoy your presence. Blind spots may result from overextending the maximize strength. You can by overextending the maximize strength by simply over…

The Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program was conceived in 1929 by the International Association of Chiefs of Police to meet a need for reliable, uniform crime statistics for the nation. In 1930, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) was tasked with collecting, publishing, and archiving those statistics (Federal Bureau of Investigations, 2007). Today, the FBI produces a Uniform Crime Report (UCR) annually for all fifty (50) states and the cities within those states from statistic collected from all police enforcement agencies. The UCR lists violent crimes and property crimes and categorizes each separate crime under those offenses. I have selected to discuss the crime of larceny theft for the two (2) metropolitan areas of Washington D.C., Washington, and Chicago, Illinois. In the following I will identify the number of occurrences, what the rates were, did the rates change over time, and what factors could explain a change for both areas.…

In the restorative justice process, the state is removed from playing the role of the victim and the actual victim is prioritized and respected. The restorative process gives victims the chance to explain how the crime has affected their lives, receive answers to their questions, and often times offered an apology from the offender. This approach assist the criminal justice system in repairing the harm caused to the victims and begins the process of reconciliation. The offender acknowledges responsibility for his or her actions, and is held accountable to the victim and/or community through the state’s criminal justice system. The offender then puts forth an effort to make amends for the negative effects his or her crime has caused. Another…

With all the recent mass shootings happening in the country, people have made the call for stricter gun control. Is this really the answer that would solve all the problems? Is stricter gun control really the answer or is it a grand illusion to fool the masses? In these two opposing essays there are very hard hitting points and facts supporting both sides. Stricter gun control is majorly demanded in democratic states where most mass shootings occur. Republican states having open carry laws and CCW are less likely to have mass shootings. Having the right to carry is a basic constitutional right, it's a deterrent, and many times it has saved more lives than taking.…
