If an organization was to be more in tune with their employees, they would know what each employee brings to the table.
Starting with several focus group meetings, followed up with one on one meetings, supervision would shortly realize the strengths and weaknesses of their employees. Focus group meetings will allow the entire workgroup to communicate amongst one another and express their thoughts and concerns about their job or tasks they have been assigned. If one disagrees with something they have been assigned, a one on one should be called. This private meeting should be used for the supervisor to get to know their employee on more of a personal level. Not to mention, it will bring more of a family feel to the relationship between the workgroup and their direct supervision. Having the sense of a family, the workgroup is more likely to work better as a whole and follow instructions from their supervisor with no questions or worries.
I believe there are several benefits to having a strength-based organization. Some include knowing that employees will be assigned to their specialty, work will always be performed with passion and quality, business decisions will be made efficiently, leadership and communication will never be forgotten. Those are just a few of the items that I can personally speak of and directly relate to the so-called strength-based company that I am employed
