Strength finder reflection
My top five strengths for the strength finder test were deliberate, adaptability, maximize arranger, and consistency. For once I can say I’m actually satisfied with a computerized test about myself. One thing I can say about my results from this strength finder it’s a lot more accurate when it comes to the qualities I posses. My results do not match up close to previous held beliefs about myself. I am typically seen as the kind of person to play the leadership role in just about anything. The point of view from others of me being a leader is completely off, I feel the complete opposite. I am more of an observer, and I learn from not only the mistakes of others, but mine as well. The vocal portion of leadership is what I am not too fond. I could lead with actions, but vocally I’m not as sharp. Not only that, but I generally go off simply instincts, and not what is planned. Maximizing my strengths can happen in various ways. Arranger is a strength that can be maximized by more preparation and better using more time for organization. I believe there’s no such thing as being over prepared. Adaptability is a strength I could improvise on by being aware with a lot more situations so when the time comes I will be able to adapt in the best way possible. All of the strengths of mine can be maximized by me realizing what makes that strength of mine and not focusing on my weaknesses. The more I focus on my weaknesses the more ill back track. An individual cannot build performance on weaknesses, but one can on strength. Majority of the fields in business best suit my strengths. In a business environment consistency is huge. The more consistent person gains the most respect. The more consistent you are, the more reliable you’ll be seen as. If you’re seen as more reliable by your co workers they’ll enjoy your presence. Blind spots may result from overextending the maximize strength. You can by overextending the maximize strength by simply over

At Gordon High School, history teacher Ben Ross is teaching his class about World War II and the Holocaust. His students are upset by the footage of concentration camps and question why the German people allowed this to happen, insisting they wouldn't be so easily duped. Ben Ross considers this and plans an experiment: the next day, he starts to indoctrinate the class using the slogan STRENGTH THROUGH DISCIPLINE. The class reacts well to this, embracing the sense of empowerment it gives them, and they continue their newly disciplined behavior into a second day of class, surprising Ross. He decides to take the experiment further and create a group, The Wave, adding two more slogans --STRENGTH THROUGH COMMUNITY and STRENGTH THROUGH ACTION - which leads to further rules of conduct and an organizational structure. In this way, The Wave takes on a life of its own. While Laurie Saunders is wary of The Wave and its effect on others, her friends are more willing to promote this movement. Her friend Amy is made a monitor, as has school outcast, Robert Billings. Laurie's boyfriend David Collins, introduces the football team to The Wave in the hopes of unifying the team in their game against Clarkstown that weekend.…

I believe that I have always been great at communicating with others and love to include others in everything that I do to achieve a goal. Overall, to the extent of my experience, assessments theorized my personality traits, from a selective category of words and elements, to define my strengths and weaknesses. However, the Gallup strength assessment proved radical since it primarily focused on attributes and themes of strong leadership qualities. I found the assessment, to a great extent, interesting since I could view a projective, ideal transformation of myself as a leader, which I have not given a great deal thought before.…

“Talent x Investment = Strength”, an equation from Chapter 3 of Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and Practice By Peter G. Northouse, which explains how a strength becomes a quality of a leader. For example, swimming may come natural to certain people but to become a pro swimmer, it takes practice and time invested to learn techniques to build on the talent one may already posses. With that said, identifying your strengths can be the key to becoming a successful leader. After completing the survey to identify my strengths I have concluded that my top character strengths are humor and fairness.…

One strength that the personality test website gave me that I had to think about was being efficient. I am a HUGE procrastinator sometimes, not doing assignments until the very last moment. However, I can be very efficient when I need to be, for example, if I have procrastinated on something, and I don’t have much time to do it, I am able to quickly do the assignments, despite time constraints. I was surprised on how accurate the website was, as usually when I take things like these it is nowhere near who I am or how I act. This test almost eerily perfectly described me, and while reading the weaknesses did kind of hit me to read, I understand that I do have those things and that they help shape what kind of person…

According to the self-assessment test, my personality type came out to be Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging (INTJ), which means that I am independent, determined, skeptical, critical and very stubborn. My score for Type-A personality was 123, which indicates that I am a very strong in this personality type. Type-A personalities have the need to do more and more in the little amount of time that they have, not doing well with leisure time, obsessed with numbers, always measuring their success by how much they have and not very easy to get along with, interrupting others and even finishing their sentences (Prentice-Hall, 2007). Looking at my actions I would have to agree with the assessment.…
