The movie “ Charly ” was directed in 1968 . Which is base on the novel “ Flowers for Algernon” by Daniel Keyes . The movie was directed by Ralph Nelson. The main characters are Charly Gordon , Miss Kinian , Dr . Nemur , Dr . Strass ,hank , Gimpy , and Joey . In this movie there are some plot twist and there are things I like and don’t . The main character Charly has this disability where he spells things wrong and he still thinks he is a child . He has a job at a donut factory where he is a janitor. He goes to classes everyday to help him . His teacher Miss . Kinian picks him to have a surgery to help him get smarter . Dr. Nemur and Dr . Strass will be performing the surgery on Charly . Every few days they have Charly race a mouse named Algernon . Algernon had the same surgery done on him . …show more content…
Charly has this surgery to make him smart but little does he know that the surgery won’t make him smart permanently and he will go back to his old ways .Before her has surgery they had him take a test against Algernon . One night Miss . Kinian asked Charly if she can see his apartment .A few days later Charly started to have feeling for Miss Kinian . Miss Kinian came to Charly’s apartment and Charly said he likes her.After that Charly ended up kiss her . Later on the surgery was kicking in and Chalry and Miss . Kinian got together. Charly changed and got a lot smarter where he can beat algernon at the test . When he went back to work Joey and other friends ask Charly if he can remember how to work the dough machine . They went over the steps and they didn’t think he would remember at all when Charly did everything they were surprise .At the convention Charly went up to Dr .

    At the bakery where Charlie works he interacts with many of his fellow employees who he believes to be his friends. They provide him with a great deal of attention that Charlie processes as friendly, but in reality he is the butt of all of their jokes. Despite the constant ridicule he received from this he kept on smiling and being happy. Outside of work Charley is enrolled in a reading and writing class for retarded adults under the instruction of Alice Kinnian.
