When was the U.S. criminal justice process affected by globalization? How does globalization impact U.S. criminal justice practices and efforts? What changes would you make to the current U.S. criminal justice policies and procedures associated with globalization and international crime? Globalizing policies since the 1990s have fostered the creation of a global marketplace in which labor, capital, and goods and services cross borders more freely than in the past. However, these policies also have had the unintended consequence of strengthening the power of global organized crime networks. Globalization has facilitated human trafficking, narcotics smuggling, computer crimes and other offenses. These trends have required greater global cooperation among criminal justice systems around the world. Policy changes at the national and even international levels affect a nation's criminal justice systems. The globalization impact this has on the U.S. criminal justice system and the practices and efforts are because these criminal acts occur more frequently now than ever before law enforcement agencies and homeland security have to figure out ways to resolve these crimes and come up with new ways to practice within the criminal justice system along with new technologies and techniques. The changes that I would you make to the current U.S. criminal justice policies and procedures associated with globalization and international crimes would be better training and better technologies to assist officials to solve these criminal acts.
