She clambered out but could not recognize anything around. She heard what she thought was hooves in the distance, she loved horses, but did not know of any ranches local. A tall man dressed in old Indian garb stood before her, commanding her to shush, she wanted to see him, he spoke in a different language, she tried to talk to him, and finally Black Fox (or Cody as known by the soldiers) did give in and speak to her, and to her disbelief he spun a story that she was back in a different time, entirely 1860. The story continues from there and they fall in love with each other, he saves her from his chief who vows to kill her and un-born child, and fights to get her back to her time, and to whom he suspects is her husband waiting, though at the time she does return, she has her daughter, though she thinks that she leaves Cody behind. She drives the area in which her accident happened over and over looking for him. She believes she will never find him, but one day he comes to view and she learned that he had been here the whole time, he grows accustom to her
