Four Elements Of Akash Element Of The Spirit

Akasha also occasionally known as Eather is an ornate word for “Element of the Spirit”. Although some may get confused between Personal and Human spirit, there is a definitive line between the types. There are five elements used in Magick and they are all shown on the Pentagram or the Pentacle. They are Commonly only known as the four elements. Earth, Air, Fire and Water. There is however some people who believe that three represent the Goddess, the Maiden, Mother and Crone, and two represent the God, dark and light. Although not very well known, the fifth element is Akasha. The Spirit. Akasha is a combo of all the Elemental powers. Akasha is the top point of the Pentagram. As most elements or other tools used in Wicca or Witchcraft, it has its own
directions and colours etc. Colour - Commonly White, Black and Purple. Its Season is the turning Wheel of the year. Goddess - Lady Isis. God - The Horned God. Chakras - Crown - Third Eye. Animal - Dove. Good Traits - Wisdom and bad traits - Self destruction. Ancient writings say that Akasha travels through vibrations or the air. In Occult philosophy it is one of the Tattvic tides and that it is most active at Sunrise, harmonizing the four elements. Akasha is omnipresent, Akasha is everywhere. A good way to look upon it it so see Akasha as a sort of black hole that does not suck everything in around it.This is where the four elements come from, this is the beginning, the end, everything and nothing all at once. Akasha actually comes from Sanskrit origin. Derived from the word `Kas` - `kash`. These mean to shine or radiate. this ties in with spirit well being that this spirit creates everything.
People who are of the Buddhist or the Hindu faiths also use the word `Akasa`. This is referring to a spiritual energy that is unseen.

To me Akasha is a vital part of life, but also a cause for concern, as some people may become infatuated with it being the higher being, the almighty. By doing this they may fall from Being part of a following to trying to incorporate religious beliefs. It is also important to me as it in my Pentacle that I wear, and to fully understand what the pentacle means. I knew it was seen as an item of protection however, I never knew about the separate points.
In Wiccan Terminology in recent days it is still used mainly the same as it once was.
This is because Akasha is all being, everything and nothing, unchanging and forever. It covers everything every where and all the elements come from Akasha, and this has not changed since it was discovered or names. It is used in Buddhism and Hinduism with the translation sometimes being - 'Infinite Source'
Per se' I would not use Akasha in my practice as such, because it is not something you can `use`. However it would always be in my work. Whenever I call upon an element, when I use a spell or ritual that has an element combined, even an elemental meditation. Akasha will always be present.
I know that I got Akasha wrong by thinking that the name was one of a Goddess or maybe even a God. It did not strike me Akasha was the Formal name for Spirit on a Pentagram. There can be many misconceptions on Akasha - Such as Akasha, Vampire queen of the dammed. In Summery Akasha is the everything and nothing, the creator, a masterpiece that emits light and the elements that rage through our world. Akasha is always used when calling upon elements or using elemental works or meditations as it is their source. Omnipresent and the elements formed through its energy, Akasha is a important part of every Wiccan or Pagans life, and is very special to Other religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism - `The Infinite Source`
